The Dantex Group has officially relaunched its highly successful PicoColour digital press, unveiling a modernized version of the compact, user-friendly press designed for high-quality, cost-effective label printing. The new-generation PicoColour is aimed at businesses looking to enter or expand in digital production without compromising on performance or quality.
Building on a decade-long legacy of global installations, the latest PicoColour retains its small footprint while incorporating advanced features drawn from Dantex’s flagship PicoJet platform. Key upgrades include an expanded color gamut, support for SuperWhite, SuperText, and SuperTactile effects, and a range of optional in-line compact finishing solutions.
Manufactured entirely in the UK to Zone 1 standards (including CE and UL compliance), the updated PicoColour delivers print speeds of up to 50 m/min. More than 80% of the components are sourced domestically, ensuring high-quality engineering and robust quality control.
Dantex has also addressed user feedback by increasing the print width to 254 mm and introducing a fully integrated inline finishing system that includes shuttle-based die-cutting, lamination, matrix removal, and edge trimming—all while preserving the press’s minimal footprint. In addition to hardware enhancements, the revamped PicoColour is part of a unified Pico technology platform, streamlining training and support for printers operating multiple Dantex systems. Maintenance has been optimized to reduce running costs, and the design emphasizes sustainability, with reduced material waste and improved overall production efficiency.
“This latest evolution of the PicoColour demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering powerful, compact digital solutions that meet the real-world needs of our customers,” said a Dantex spokesperson.
The relaunch reaffirms Dantex’s position in the competitive digital label market, offering a well-balanced solution that blends innovation, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group, said, “The original PicoColour was a huge success, and we have seen continued demand, even in the second-hand market. We knew the time was right to bring it back, but this time it’s even better - modernized, efficient, built with the latest technology, and entirely made in the UK. Customers can feel reassured that Dantex’s quality standards and service are never compromised.
The response thus far has been remarkable, demonstrating that customers have been eager for a high-performance, entry-level UV inkjet press. With the new PicoColour, we are providing exactly that.” |
