Bengaluru, 24 September 2026: The Digital Imaging Graphic Arts Forum (DIGAF), India, and the Malaysia Digital Printers Association (MYDPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and promote the growth of digital printing across India, Malaysia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The MoU was signed by Veerendra Malik, President & Convenor, DIGAF, and Dr. William Goh, President, MYDPA, on 24 September 2026 in Bengaluru, on the sidelines of the Digital Print Asia Summit DPA2.0.
The agreement provides a framework for the two organisations to work together on a range of initiatives aimed at creating stronger professional, commercial and knowledge-sharing links between the digital printing communities of the two countries.
Under the MoU, DIGAF and MYDPA will become reciprocal affiliate organisations and explore opportunities to organise incentivised delegations to major digital printing events organised or supported by either organisation. The two associations will also facilitate interaction between their member companies to encourage business opportunities and cross-border collaboration.
Another important element of the partnership will be the exchange of industry knowledge and perspectives. The two organisations will invite their respective Association/Forum heads to speak at major digital printing events, sharing insights into the development, trends and status of digital printing in their respective countries.
The MoU also envisages joint efforts towards the formation of an Asia Pacific Consortium of Digital Printing Associations/Forums. The proposed consortium is intended to provide a common platform for stakeholders across the region and encourage closer cooperation among associations and forums representing the digital printing industry.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr. William Goh, President, MYDPA, said:“Collaboration turns connections into opportunities. Through the partnership between MYDPA and DIGAF, we are building a stronger bridge between Malaysia and India, bringing printers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders together to share knowledge, develop business opportunities and advance digital printing across the Asia-Pacific region.”
Veerendra Malik, President & Convenor, DIGAF, said, “The collaboration comes at an important stage in the development of digital printing in the region. With Digital Printing technology growing very rapidly in India and the region, it has become essential to create a common platform in Asia where Print Service Providers, OEMs, Channel Partners, Advertising Agencies and Brand Owners can come together to share knowledge and benefit from new developments, applications and collaborate to promote this segment of printing trade.”
He added, “This collaboration between DIGAF and MYDPA is the first major step in strengthening digital printing trade between the two countries and reaching out to others in the region to promote Digital Printing Technology and Applications.”
The signing at Bengaluru brings together two organisations representing an industry that is undergoing significant technological and commercial transformation. Digital printing is expanding beyond conventional commercial applications into labels and packaging, books, personalised communications, décor, industrial applications and digitally enhanced print products.
The DIGAF–MYDPA partnership seeks to create opportunities for industry participants to learn from developments in each market while building relationships that can translate into business and technology collaborations. The proposed regional consortium would further extend this approach by bringing associations and forums from other Asia-Pacific markets onto a common platform.
The MoU therefore marks the beginning of a structured association between DIGAF and MYDPA, with the two organisations intending to work together on events, delegations, knowledge exchange, member-to-member business interaction and wider industry networking.
The partnership is expected to provide a platform for printers and other stakeholders in India and Malaysia to explore new applications, technologies and business opportunities while contributing to the development of a more closely connected digital printing industry across the Asia-Pacific region.
